Last November, one of our teens groups met a group of students from IH Split as part of this initiative. The two groups prepared a virtual tour of their cities prior to the meeting and on the day they ‘visited’ each other’s hometowns. This exchange allowed them to practise their English in a more authentic environment while increasing their intercultural awareness. Here are some of their comments:
My experience of the Super Host Challenge was great. It’s been really enjoyable and helpful, since thanks to it I’ve been able to know how people in other countries learn and speak English and I’ve also been able to speak a lot.

Teens FCE Prep BIt was an interesting idea to learn English with other people that are learning English too. It was exciting to explain in the best way my country, because they had never visited Milan before. I was also happy to know how and which places I have to visit. I will go to Croatia. Really nice idea.

Teens FCE Prep BThe experience of the Super Host Challenge was really motivating. It gave me the opportunity to talk more and to improve a little bit more my English. I’ve learned new vocabulary to describe my city, and it was great to compare our Italian tradition with theirs.
